Tortilla Chips DIY


These are simply delicious.  And, so easy.  We love them made with green spinach tortillas, but they are just as tasty with any flavour.

Ingredients:

Cooking oil
Tortillas

Method:

-  use scissors to cut tortillas into wedges
-  heat a shallow layer of oil in a large frypan
-  gently fry tortillas for a few seconds each side, flipping carefully with tongs to fry other side
-  pop fried tortillas on to kitchen paper to collect the oil

so good with home made guac!

Note:  These can also be made in the oven - simply pop some oil (why not add a little lime juice) into a spray bottle - or use a can of spray olive oil - and bake in the oven for about 8 minutes at 180oC.
