Nothing tastes as good as home-made icecream. The best part of making it yourself is that you can make any flavour you want!
Recipes I love have included, Nutella, Georgia Peach, Coconut Lime Sorbet, Vanilla, Chocolate, berry, pistachio and mango.
This one is an absolute winner with the kids!
You’re
going to start with your base of chocolate ice-cream.
¾ cup cocoa
powder
½ cup white
sugar
1/3 cup
brown sugar (firmly packed)
2 teaspoons
vanilla extract
Pinch of
salt
1 cup milk
2 cups
thickened cream.
Method:
Whisk all
together, cover and pop in fridge to chill for an hour.
Pour into
ice-cream maker and churn for 20-30 minutes.
As soon as
churning gets to last five minutes, add some mini marshmallows, chopped
raspberry jelly lollies, halved macadamias.
Transfer to
an air tight container and pop in the freezer for a couple of hours to set
harder. If you don’t have an ice-cream
maker, put in an air tight container and pop in the freezer, remove every ½ hour
(four times) – whisk in food processor/blender and back into the freezer
