LCM Bars DIY (Rice Bubble Bars / Rice Krispie Treats)


So easy SO EASY - and much better without chemicals and nasties.  Use sugar free marshmallows or healther options they still work!

my recipe is the same as Nigella's - but with Aussie marshmallows usually coming in bags of pink and white you get these gorgeous pink coloured bars!

Ingredients:

  • 45 grams butter
  • 300 grams mini marshmallows
  • 180 grams rice bubbles
  • Method:
  • 1.  Melt the butter and marshmallows together in a bowl in the microwave - 1 minute
  • 2.  Add the cereal, mixing till well coated.
  • 3.  Press the mixture into a baking paper lined  32cm x 23cm tin / 13 x 9 inch pan; you may have to wet your hands with cool water to prevent sticking - and be careful - it's hot.
  • 4. Pop in the fridge.  Let the slab cool completely in the tin and then cut into squares.  Easy to cut into shapes using a heart shaped or any fun shaped cookie cutter.
